Role PurposeThe Manager of Business Development (BD) in London will focus on generating leads and acquiring new clients to drive business growth. This role emphasizes identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and building strong client relationships. The candidate will be responsible for executing strategies to secure new clients, achieve revenue targets, and ensure sustained profitability. Additionally, they will develop and implement business development initiatives to fuel the company’s long-term success.

1. Strategic

Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and markets to expand the company’s presence.
  • Develop and execute tailored strategies to acquire new clients and partners.
  • Drive lead generation, pipeline management, and opportunity forecasting.
2. Client & Account Management
  • Manage key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnership development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to maximize client retention and upsell opportunities.
  • Provide tailored solutions to meet the needs of clients, increasing revenue from existing clients.
3. Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand competitive positioning and industry trends.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for the company to stay ahead in the market.
  • Share insights with senior management to inform business strategy.
4. Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Lead sales efforts, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
  • Monitor performance against revenue targets and adjust strategies as needed to achieve goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of services to clients.
5. Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance) to align business development efforts with overall company strategy.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and success.
6. Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Regularly report on business development metrics, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all activities within CRM and other tools.
  • Present results and recommendations to senior leadership.

Experience/Requirements

  • Experience working in the London market, with an established network of contacts.
  • Ability to travel within the UK and internationally if required.
  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape and industry trends in the region.
